The American folk band Vetiver, headed by songwriter Andy Cabic, is "dipped in warm Americana embodying the naturalism of the San Francisco acoustic scene" (NPR). Vetiver formed in 2002 and over the years has toured and collaborated extensively with acts like Devendra Banhart, Joanna Newsom, Fleet Foxes, The Shins, and Fruit Bats. Their music has been described as ‘surreal’, ‘lullingly pleasant’, ‘tender and accessible’ and ‘quirky and warm’. Vetiver’s latest album, “Complete Strangers” was released in March 2015 on Easy Sound and has been described as “one of those collections where over the course of several listens each song enjoys time as being considered the highpoint of the album only for another track to supplant it soon after."
